Before words. Before memories. Before stories.
There is fabric.
Soft against skin. Quiet. Constant. Intimate.
I grew up around textiles that carried more than colour or pattern.
They carried time. Hands. Heritage.
Stories woven slowly, meant to last. Fashion taught me how to see. Styling taught me how to tell stories. But motherhood shifted everything.
It made me pause. Slow down. And really look at what I was placing next to a child's skin, every day, without thought.
A brand shaped by softness.
This Is Taanaa
Taanaa, founded by Rayadurgam Srinivas Namratha, draws from India’s rich textile traditions, ikat, chanderi, block print, handloom cotton—reimagined into modern, everyday forms that feel at home anywhere in the world.
These are not costumes of culture. They are quiet companions for everyday life. Clothes meant to be worn, loved, softened by time, and passed on.
Taanaa is made for children aged 0–5. Every collection is produced in small batches, in natural fabrics, with makers whose craft we deeply respect. We are based in India and ship across the country.
This is Taanaa. A brand shaped by softness. By intention. By respect, for craft, for childhood, for time. Not just clothes, but the first layer of a story.
